Consisting of more than 900,000 acres of highland bogs, exposed rock, blueberry thickets and forest, the Monongahela National Forest is truly a unique and wonderful place to visit. In addition to wildlife viewing and fishing, visitors have access to 23 campgrounds, 17 picnic areas and more than 500 miles of hiking trails. Two visitor centers, the Seneca Rocks Discovery Center and the Cranberry Mountain Nature Center, offer information about the National Forest as well as nearby attractions.
